The coastal area of the Azores archipelago plays an important role as a foraging ground for juvenile green sea turtles. To closely monitor the movement behavior of the turtles during this crucial life stage, COSTA project, within the LIFE IP AZORES NATURA framework, is coordenating the satellite tagging of this species on Faial Island. This collaborative effort provides valuable insights into how the green turtles use Azorean waters and contributes to our understanding of their ecological dynamics and conservation significance.
